The program for impact:
new in WirkRaum Hamburg
Our holistic program offers maximum support for NPOs
Anyone who cares about the world, its condition, and its improvement should use their energy purposefully. Under the umbrella of WirkRaum in Hamburg, we offer a free 18-month support program for NPOs and social entrepreneurs: The Program for Impact. This program guides and supports participants in building robust structures, developing their potential and skills, increasing the success of their work, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of their organization.
This 18-month program differentiates itself from all other approaches on the market through its systematic, holistic approach, and our deep understanding of civil society. We consider the structural characteristics of NPOs and social entrepreneurs and rely on agile change management. Through close collaboration, we create an environment in which participants can examine themselves and develop further.
Based on our many years of consulting experience, we have developed six central building blocks that are individually tailored to each NPO. Teams selected according to clear criteria receive targeted support in all relevant areas – from financial management and marketing to project execution. The program continuously adapts to economic, societal, and social changes.
We are continuously looking for foundations and philanthropists to support this program
With this program you can help fundamentally strengthen and support NPOs. We are constantly looking for sponsors. You can either select the organizations you want to support from our suggestions or suggest your own. This allows you to give the organizations you believe in even greater impact and enable real change.

LET'S THINK IT

The WirkRaum:
the heart for commitment in Hamburg
The WirkRaum, a new meeting, innovation and competence space in Hamburg St. Pauli
In 2025, an idea that IMPCT has been pursuing for years will begin to take shape: After countless discussions, analyses, and concepts, the implementation phase is now underway. Here, we'll report on ongoing developments and milestones.
Mission: Non-profit organizations (NPOs), social entrepreneurs, and committed actors are essential for a sustainable civil society. Given growing societal challenges such as social inequality, the climate crisis, and social participation, there is an urgent need to strengthen, position, and better connect these target groups. In Hamburg, we need a central location that represents civil society engagement and where these actors can come together.
Challenge: While various approaches already exist, many have commercial intentions, address only partial aspects, or are purely digital. Compartmentalization often prevents systematic change (e.g., developing a logo makes no sense if the strategy and vision are not yet clear); digitally, context and exchange are often lacking. Apart from rather one-dimensional programs in the social entrepreneurship sector, none of these approaches are holistically conceived and/or systemically designed to achieve lasting impact at all levels.
Solution: We are in the process of establishing the WirkRaum (Impact Space). A space that is essential for consolidating the forces of civil society in Hamburg, making their impact systemic, and driving sustainable change.
Planned implementation: The WirkRaum essentially consists of four building blocks that will be further developed in the course of social development and the associated needs.
Block 1: Qualification and support program for NPOs and social entrepreneurs
Over an 18-month period, we offer targeted consulting and support to NPOs and social entrepreneurs, helping them build resilient structures, develop their potential and skills, increase the success of their work, and ensure the long-term sustainability of their organization.
Block 2: Room for departments
Spaces where consultants and experts from various disciplines can be contacted directly and easily on-site: tax consulting, law; branding, marketing, graphics; culture, identity, network training; fundraising, cooperation partners; IT, digitalization, AI; strategy, organizational development, M&E, impact management, etc.
Block 3: Working spaces / hot desks
NPOs with different thematic focuses will receive long-term access (beyond the funding period) to flexible workspaces to organize their daily project work, collaboration, and impact measurement, and to become more attractive to volunteers as a central workspace. The focus is on exchange, leveraging synergies, and joint development.
Block 4: Event space for non-profit organizations, regular networking formats
The WirkRaum creates a meeting place between civil society, foundations, companies, and volunteers. In addition to providing working opportunities, the space also engages the city and civil society through various formats such as lunchtime talks, keynote speeches, and more. The space is available to nonprofit organizations for annual meetings, association launches, and more.
Planned timeline: 2025: Clarification and securing of the site, operator concept, spatial concept, cost planning, construction concept with two architectural firms, 2026: Building application, development of an impact logic for the venue and its operation, kick-off of initial formats for the target groups.
